Cybersecurity concerns are a significant driver for the need for enhanced management tools in DCIM 3.0. According to the Allianz Risk Barometer, cyber incidents are the top business interruption risk, with 45% of companies expressing concern. This highlights the necessity for better tools to secure IT infrastructure, especially as many operational technology devices do not run the latest firmware, increasing vulnerability.

Sustainability is increasingly emerging as a priority for IT organizations, although it is still developing. Recent articles in major publications suggest that CIOs are beginning to recognize the importance of sustainability mandates.
